My development during the graduate programme

I started at apetito in September 2014 a Sales and Marketing Graduate within Specialist Nutrition. I managed a project developing a new sales channel for the provision of texture modified diets to small care homes. Within this role I was responsible for the development of the business model, as well as executing the day to day front line sales within the care home sector and ongoing account management. I was given lots of responsibility and scope to manage the project and use my initiative from the outset. During my time as a Sales and Marketing Graduate I also managed a Queens Award application, which resulted in the business winning the prestigious Innovation category for Business Enterprise. I am currently working on an exciting new project in United States, which has allowed me to put everything I have learnt so far at apetito into practice.

apetito has provided lots of opportunities for development and training. When I started, I had the opportunity to have three days sales coaching to assist with my new role, and I also attended presentation and communication skills courses. I have been fortunate enough to take part in apetito’s flagship Leadership Development Programme, to assist with both personal development and leadership skills. The company have also been great in helping build up my knowledge base to assist with my roles, including allowing me to complete a course in Nutrition and Dysphagia training.

About Sales at apetito

apetito are approaching a 10 year presence within the Care Homes sector and now cater for 18,000 residents daily across 450 Care Home sites. The role of the Client Development Manager has been key in the growth of this highly successful division.  

After a thorough induction, you will be responsible for managing your own diary. You will learn how to allocate your time wisely, ensuring customer service levels and relationships are sustained as well as delivering on growth opportunities across your territory of approximately 40 partners
