Our Purchasing Policy

• We purchase only from approved and audited suppliers
• We purchase only tested and approved materials
• We seek either to improve quality whilst controlling and justifying the cost, or to reduce price whilst maintaining quality. This is a process of "continuous improvement".
• We seek to improve supplier performance through co-operation and developing a relationship.
• We seek suppliers who will maintain a reliable and predictable supply.
• We endeavour only to use suppliers who operate in a wholly ethical and sustainable manner, towards their employees and towards the environment.
• We prioritise activities according to business objectives or to maximise business benefit.
• We work in partnership with the other purchasing teams within the group.
• We are mindful of the amount of "Food Miles" when sourcing materials and where it is commercially viable, and does not compromise technical requirements, we use local suppliers.
