Customer Service Drivers - Hull

 

The forthcoming Hull Community Meals contract is seeking Meals on Wheels delivery drivers to join the team. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent customer care and take great pride in their work, whilst delivering an essential service.

The post holder should possess a full driving licence and whilst knowledge of the Hull area is helpful, the ability to read a map effectively is essential.

Hours of work will be 3.5 hours per day

 

Key responsibilities include:

1. To undertake the delivery of meals to customers in accordance with laid down Company Delivery Procedures.
2. To deal with customers in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner and to maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
3. To collect cash and cheque payments from customers as indicated by the delivery round sheet or as directed by your line Manager, and to complete and leave customer receipts for all monies collected.
4. To record on the delivery round Sheet or client monitoring form all relevant information in respect of the customer, including cancellations, changes in circumstance or access details, meal preferences and dietary requirements.
5. To complete the daily Vehicle checklist, including recording start and end journey mileage, and recording of meal and vehicle temperatures as required.
6. To undertake such cleaning duties as detailed on the cleaning schedules, including responsibility for cleanliness of the vehicle cab.

 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and an Enhanced Criminal Record check is required.
