Abstract:apetito rallied around to help when Ravenscroft Care Home in Trowbridge sent out an SOS.
Never one to turn down a challenge, apetito rallied around to help when Ravenscroft Care Home in Trowbridge sent out an SOS.
It was all hands on deck when Ravenscroft reported that one of their kitchen fans had exploded, leaving the kitchen unusable. Able to make do that evening, they knew they needed to call in the experts to see them through the next day, and contacted apetito.
Undeterred by the lateness of the hour, Claire Bull from the apetito marketing department organised an urgent food order and a Chefmobil to deliver the food. The next day, accompanied by Jenene Blackmoore, also from the marketing team, the girls did a ‘job swap’ for the afternoon, firing up the ovens and delivering piping hot, delicious meals to the residents of the Ravenscroft Care Home – right on time for their usual lunch hour.
Tracey, Matron of Ravenscroft said: “You’re an absolute godsend, I don’t know what we would have done otherwise – they really look forward to their hot meal.”
Over the next few days the rest of the care homes team chipped in, with Torie Riley ordering food and Andy Williams going out on the round: “I felt like a real hero!”
Maybe, but it’s all in a day’s work at apetito!
