Contract Manager - Lewisham

 apetito Services are looking for a strong leader to join their innovative Meals on Wheels business based in Lewisham.

The apetito Lewisham operation delivers approximately 300 community meals (Meals on Wheels) per day to clients.  Our clients are mainly the elderly and vulnerable people living in the Lewisham Area.   We are contracted to distribute meals on behalf of the social services departments of Lewisham Borough Council. The meals are delivered out of the Ladywell Day Centre in Lewisham.

The depot is home to 9 Chefmobils. We operate over 365 days per year. 

In addition to the Meals on Wheel operation there are also 3 Day Centre serving between 25 and 50 meals a day.  Ladywell Day Centre is home to one of the centres and the other 2 are based around the borough.  Each Day Centre has 2 apetito staff that will require monitoring and auditing on a regular basis.

As a Contract Manager you should have proven experience of supervising and leading successful teams. The successful candidate will be adept at building relationships and will need to demonstrate a high level of customer service and care.

 Personal qualities required include excellent communication and team motivating skills and an ability to work well under pressure. You should have previous experience of stock control and financial reporting.

Key result areas include the supervision of the Lewisham team, ensuring that Company standards and procedures are adhered to and also achieving Company budget targets and financial reporting deadlines. Ideally you will have previous experience of contract catering but a passion to lead is essential.

Candidates will need to be competent in Microsoft Word and Excel, possess a full UK driving licence and have good verbal and numerical skills.

The post holder will cover 5 days out of 7. An enhanced CRB check will be required and the post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
