Dedicated Support
Our team of Client Development Managers are ready to help you with every aspect of care home catering. We offer more than just food, with a dedicated team who can offer support and expert advice on everything from menu planning to kitchen equipment and training.
Setting up your new service
When you appoint apetito, you will be assigned a dedicated Client Development Manager who will work with you to ensure your move to apetito is a smooth one. We will develop a menu plan for your care home and help you to place your first order. Our team will also be on-site for the first few days of service to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Kitchen equipment
Your Client Development Manager will carry out a site audit at your care home to check you have all the kitchen equipment you need. If required we can supply essential equipment such as freezers and regeneration trolleys, either to purchase or to lease.
Training
From portion sizes to food presentation, our team will deliver on-site training to ensure all of your staff understand the apetito system. You will also receive a comprehensive welcome pack containing a reference manual, kitchen boards and useful equipment to help your staff prepare our food.
Picture menus
We can supply your care home with restaurant-style menus or picture menus – or both. Research shows that picture menus are a powerful tool in assisting residents with dementia to make choices, helping to ensure that they eat well and stay healthy.
Continuous support and development
We normally design a menu plan to run on a 4-week cycle, at the end of which we’ll review it to fine-tune your menu according to your residents’ preferences. We can even arrange a tasting evening to show residents’ relatives what we offer.
We will also carry out a general review every 3 months and a full menu review every 6 months. By constantly monitoring performance we can deal with any concerns and ensure that our food and service is always of the highest possible standard.
