apetito in the UK

 50 years is an incredible milestone and one that everyone in the company can be proud of. Few of us have been around that long but many people have made an important contribution to the success of apetito. This includes the UK team and since last year our Canadian colleagues.

It was in 1996 that the then Waldens Wiltshire Foods joined the apetito group. While apetito was already operating in the UK, it was with the acquisition of Walden’s that the growth in the UK business really got going. Shortly after, apetito acquired Westminster Meals Ltd from which apetito services was born. In the subsequent 12 years our UK sales have grown from £28m to £85m and staff numbers have increased from 500 to 1260.
