Family Pride in apetito

 apetito was founded back in 1958 by Karl Düsterberg who is now 91 and remains Honorary Chairman of the Company. In those days the company offered a product range of just four different meals!

Since then it has become an International Group with sales of £520m and 7400 staff based across the world in Germany, Great Britain, The Netherlands, France and Canada.

Reflecting on the first 50 years of apetito Karl Düsterberg recently said:

“I am very proud of the success that apetito has enjoyed since my original idea 50 years ago. Most of all I am proud of apetito’s people - it is you who have made this success story possible”.

apetito remains a family company owned by the Düsterbergs. Wolfgang Düsterberg, son of the founder Karl and today’s Group Chairman said “Our family is dedicated to the continued success of apetito and its people over the next 50 years. We are very proud of the high standards to which apetito operate. We consider these quality standards and the friendly and open culture to be essential to our present and future success”.
